Yes. think-cell Assist can perform live web searches and retrieve information from external sources, allowing users to access more up-to-date answers. The only requirement is that the user is connected to the internet.

Can I paste screenshots into the think-cell Assist chat?

No. Currently, think-cell Assist’s chat does not support pasting screenshots.

Does think-cell Assist save my chat conversation history?

think-cell Assist saves your chat conversation history for you to access locally, on your computer.

Can I set my translation preferences when using think-cell Assist’s translate slides feature, e.g., to specify formality of language?

There is no dedicated setting for formality of translations, but users can create and save personalized translation prompts that include specifications, for example which version of “you” to use in the target language.

Does the translation from think-cell Assist overwrite the current document?

Yes. think-cell Assist overwrites elements in-place with the new language version, directly in the PowerPoint slide. You can use Undo (Ctrl+Z) and Redo (CTRL+Y) to compare versions.

Can I undo all think-cell Assist’s text-editing actions?

Yes. The standard PowerPoint undo function (Ctrl+Z) undoes any text edits performed with think-cell Assist.

How can I use think-cell Assist to create slides with AI?

think-cell Assist includes a feature that lets you create and insert a slide directly into your presentation. With think-cell Assist, you can automatically generate and insert a summary slide that is based on all the content in your presentation, or from selected slides.

Can I use think-cell Assist to adjust text for the entire slide?

Yes. When adjusting text with think-cell Assist, you can choose specific objects to edit, or if you don’t select any elements, the prompt will be applied to the entire slide.

Does think-cell Assist automatically choose which chart types to use depending on the data?

Depending on the data source, think-cell Assist will suggest suitable chart types or use pre-defined charts from the data source.

For data in an Excel workbook, think-cell Assist will suggest suitable chart types in Excel that you can insert into PowerPoint.

For Statista data, there is a pre-defined chart type associated with the dataset.

For Morningstar data, the most appropriate chart type will be chosen depending on which KPIs are selected.

No. the think-cell Assist menu is visible when relevant options are available. However, the menu disappears when clicking elsewhere or moving the mouse away.

No. think-cell Assist works according to the principle of user control, meaning its suggestions are prompt-driven and user-initiated.

Can think-cell Assist automatically detect the language of a presentation?

Yes. Language detection occurs automatically within think-cell Assist’s translation workflows.

No. think-cell Assist is currently focused on text-based workflows and supported data integrations. think-cell Assist can edit slide elements while maintaining the integrity of the existing layout.

Can think-cell Assist detect inconsistencies or errors in numbers?

think-cell Assist gets data from reliable, verified data sources (e.g. Statista). No additional auditing is conducted and users are ultimately in control of data validation. When working with your Excel data, think-cell Assist uses formulas to build new tables, letting you trace exactly where your data is coming from and verify it.

Does think-cell Assist support multiple languages?

Yes. Multilingual prompting and translation are supported within think-cell Assist’s system capabilities. Translation is available to and from 100 languages.

Does think-cell Assist work inside Excel?

Yes, think-cell Assist can be used in Excel to perform tasks like running a data analysis, creating new formula-based tables from your data, and creating think-cell charts that you can insert into your PowerPoint presentation.

Does think-cell Assist convert PDF tables into Excel or PowerPoint?

No. think-cell Assist’s focus is on working within Excel and PowerPoint. think-cell Assist can read, process and create data tables in Excel, and build think-cell charts for insertion into PowerPoint. Inside PowerPoint, you have functionalities that let you read, edit and create slide elements.

Can think-cell Assist analyze slide content?

Yes. think-cell Assist can read slide content and provide feedback on aspects such as clarity, structure or coherence.

Do I need think-cell Assist if I already have Microsoft Copilot?

Yes. Professional PowerPoint users benefit from think-cell Assist, as it is purpose-built for professional slide workflows in PowerPoint, covering advanced charting, action titles and structured content. While Copilot is general purpose, think-cell Assist operates at a deeper level, specifically designed for business presentations.

Do I need think-cell Assist if I use AI-native slide tools?

Yes. Many AI-native tools lack PowerPoint compatibility. think-cell Assist is built for professional PowerPoint users and allows for far more seamless workflows when using AI to support PowerPoint presentation creation.

Do I need think-cell Assist if I already have Claude?

Yes. Claude uses a powerful AI model, but Claude lacks the deep PowerPoint integration and spatial precision offered by think-cell Assist. Claude is a slower and less consistent option than think-cell Assist for professional slide work. Where useful, think-cell Assist uses Claude for some of its operations, meaning that think-cell Assist users always benefit from the best model for any task.

Do I need my own Statista subscription to access Statista data with think-cell Assist?

No. Statista access to basic tier statistics is included in think-cell Assist, subject to fair use limitations.

Can externally sourced data accessed through think-cell Assist be exported and reused outside PowerPoint?

Usage of data accessed through think-cell Assist is subject to the respective provider’s terms and conditions.

Can think-cell Assist combine data from multiple providers in one chart?

Currently, think-cell Assist can create charts from either Statista or Morningstar data, or their own Excel workbooks. Users can then merge this data themselves if they wish.

Is think-cell Assist included in the regular think-cell license?

No. think-cell Assist is an add-on for the standard think-cell Suite license. Without adding think-cell Assist, users do not have access to the AI-powered features.

Do I need a think-cell Suite license to use think-cell Assist?

Yes. You need a think-cell Suite license to be able to use think-cell Assist and access the AI-powered features.

Why can’t I see the think-cell Assist icon in PowerPoint?

The think-cell Assist icon is only visible for users with a valid think-cell Assist license. If you would like to upgrade to think-cell Assist, contact your responsible think-cell license key holder.

Can I activate think-cell Assist for only part of my organization?

Yes. As think-cell Assist is based on license keys, it can be enabled via separate license keys for selected user groups.

If think-cell Assist access is disabled, how does this affect content previously generated with the AI tools?

If you disable think-cell Assist, you lose access to the AI-powered features, but all AI-generated content you have previously created remains in your presentations as standard PowerPoint or think-cell elements.

Does think-cell Assist require a specific think-cell version?

Users need to have think-cell Early Access to use think-cell Assist.

Does the free think-cell trial include think-cell Assist?

Yes. think-cell Assist is available by default for anyone signing up for a free think-cell trial. It can be deselected if a user does not want to use think-cell Assist.

No. think-cell Assist is currently only available with think-cell Suite. Users of think-cell Essentials must upgrade to think-cell Suite to add think-cell Assist.

Does enabling think-cell Assist automatically switch users to think-cell Early Access?

Yes. Activating think-cell Assist automatically places users on think-cell Early Access.

Are automatic updates required to use think-cell Early Access?

No. Automatic updates are not enforced for think-cell Early Access users, but they are strongly recommended to receive continuous updates and new features as they become available.

Can I connect my own AI services to think-cell Assist, e.g., Azure-hosted GPT?

No. think-cell Assist does not currently support the connection of customers’ own AI services.

Do I need a DPA if I only have think-cell Suite or think-cell Essentials, and do not have think-cell Assist?

No. If you do not use think-cell Assist, no DPA is required.
