C++ Meetup in Stockholm, Sweden 2024

November 21, 2024

On November 21, 2024, think-cell had the pleasure of co-organizing the SwedenCpp Community Meetup in Stockholm, marking a welcome return to the Swedish C++ community after our last collaboration in 2017.

The event featured two expert talks. Sebastian Theophil, Senior Software Engineer at think-cell, delivered "Passive ARM Assembly Skills for Debugging, Optimization (and Hacking)," a hands-on introduction to ARM assembly aimed at enhancing debugging and optimization skills, particularly for those familiar with x86 assembly. Hans Wennborg, Software Engineer at Google, followed with his talk, "C++ Switch Statements Under the Hood in LLVM," uncovering the intricacies of how Clang/LLVM optimizes switch constructs and comparing their efficiency to if-else chains.

Julia and Anastasia from think-cell’s team actively engaged with the community, sharing insights about what makes working at think-cell as a C++ Developer unique: a culture with no meetings or overtime and a dedication to excellence in everything we do.

We were excited to reconnect with developers in Stockholm, exchange knowledge, and strengthen our ties with the SwedenCpp community. A big thank you to everyone who attended — we look forward to more opportunities to collaborate!
