C++ Meetup in Berlin, Germany 2024
November 13, 2024
On November 13, 2024, think-cell hosted a C++ meetup in Berlin, bringing together engineers to exchange ideas and network ahead of the Meeting C++ conference. Held at Le Wagon, the event featured two insightful talks and informal discussions over pizza and beer.
Jonathan Müller, Software Engineer at think-cell, opened the evening with a presentation on a fast, compliant JSON pull parser designed for robust applications. He highlighted its innovative API design, which enforces semantic constraints and simplifies error handling, setting it apart from other parsers. Attendees gained insights into efficient data handling and elegant C++ programming techniques.
The second talk, delivered by NVIDIA Principal Architect Bryce Adelstein Lelbach, challenged traditional views on parallelism. In Think Parallel, Bryce presented practical, example-driven strategies for adopting parallelism as a default approach in modern programming, showcasing techniques for optimizing performance and leveraging parallel hardware platforms effectively.
The meetup provided a welcoming space for C++ engineers to engage with industry experts, exchange ideas, and strengthen their connections within the community. We thank everyone who joined us and look forward to hosting more events that bring the C++ community together.
