LambdaConf in Estes Park, USA 2024

May 7, 2024

Right after the C++Now Conference, our Software Engineer, Jonathan Muller, was invited to be a guest speaker at LambdaConf to present his talk, 'An (In-)Complete Guide To C++ Object Lifetimes.' The 2-day event this year featured 4 tracks with more than 100 speakers.

LambdaConf was launched in 2014. It is a multi-disciplinary conference held in Colorado, featuring talks that discuss everything from Artificial Intelligence and DevOps to Functional Programming and System Programming Languages. The conference offers a great opportunity to connect with the wider programming community and exchange ideas across programming languages and paradigms.

During Jonathan's talk, the audience learned about the rules for object creation and destruction, and when it is safe to form pointers and references to objects. They also got to know about advanced functions like std::launder, std::bit_cast, and std::start_lifetime_as.

We thank the organizers for this opportunity and hope this first time was just the beginning of our long-term collaboration!
