WeAreDevelopers World Congress in Berlin, Germany 2023

July 27, 2023

On the 27th and 28th of July think-cell took part in WeAreDevelopers World Congress, the leading event for developers in Germany's tech capital, Berlin, for a second time in a row. This year, there were 15 stages, over 500 speakers and 12 000 attendees on a total of 40k sqm of event space— so it was indeed the ultimate event for anyone connected to the programming world.

The congress was visited be Sir Tim Berners-Lee (widely known as the inventor of the World Wide Web), Miško Hevery (inventor of Angular/AnuglarJS) and many others. From our side, think-cell founder& CTO Arno Shoedl presented his talk "The C++ rvalue lifetime disaster" and Software engineer Jonathan gave his "C++ Features You Might Not Know" talk.

In addition to tech talks, there were many activities for participants, such as the like Boston Dynamics dog greeting people, a slow-motion video shooting or a giant robotic hand giving away candy to congress attendees.

think-cell’s booth was also very popular this year. Not only could people treat themselves to some Florida Ice ice-cream during the warm summer day, but also spin the wheel and get one of multiple prizes such as reusable straws, cookies, pins, socks or gummy bears.

We had so much fun there as well as many talks about the tech career opportunities at think-cell, and so we cannot wait to join next year’s WeAreDevelopers World Congress!
