CppEurope, online 2021
February 23, 2021
This February, think-cell was proud to take part in Cpp Europe for the 3rd time. The 5th edition of the conference was held online. It was a full day of 7 online talks with the goal to enable knowledge exchange about C++ and to help translate modern development practices to C++ programmers.
Our Senior Software Engineer, Sebastian T., presented a talk on Windows, macOS and the Web: Lessons from cross-platform development at think-cell. There, he provided an overview of the C++ abstractions think-cell have implemented, focusing on the cross-platform problem areas where common semantics were hard to define due to limitations of either one of the operating systems, and showed the tools that let our company write a web application in C++.
Around 250 participants had a chance to listen to Sebastian’s talk and ask him all the questions regarding cross-platform developement. He really enjoyed the event and is looking forward to taking part in the conference next year.
